I'm building a He-Man currently, and have a third Man-At-Arms on the way, too. Although I'll also be following your lead with Teela too, finding loose figures of her isn't easy.

But, anyway, this is a great resource and an awesome blog overall. Only one request: can you make the pictures of your Alcala-correct figures a little bigger? I would love to see all the fine details. :) johnny6666https://www.blogger.com/profile/16749738500273163297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8972751061889550471.post-53009113983276047212016-02-08T09:54:12.848-06:002016-02-08T09:54:12.848-06:00Glad you dig it, Don. Since my last update, I've changed the boots on mine to the ones that came with He-Ro 2 (or Dare). The fur on those is a yellowish brown which matches his mini-comic look even more closely. Although... a lot of Snake Eyes' back-story was given to Duke in the movie... which pretty much proves just how boring and bland Duke is. If you have to take someone else's background (Snake Eyes, the most popular) and give it to someone else (Duke)... then what the hell is he doing there in the first place???? He wasn't even the original team leader, Hawk was.

Anyway, I love the last few pictures... and Scarlett is right, he's a creep. In these instances, I use decal paper that has a white background. You'll have to trim to the edge and be even more careful not to tear it while placing it, but it has a much better chance of looking bolder against your background. I used this type of paper for my tiny patch decals to make them pop.Eric LeFeberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12960672368155961714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8972751061889550471.post-43583972528541367262014-08-19T20:39:52.876-05:002014-08-19T20:39:52.876-05:00I just read your excellent tutorial on water slide...I just read your excellent tutorial on water slide decals and I have a question I was hoping you can help with.

I have a Superman figure from Mattel and it is missing the yellow 'S' shield that is supposed to be on the cape, so I was thinking of using a water slide decal to add the 'S' to the cape. Well about and hour and a half of soaking her in the RIT on medium heat nothing happened, just gave her a slight wash that's it, the joints weren't even tinted. am I doing something wrong or has RIT changed their formula?
